On the wine route, at the gates of Bordeaux, the Bastide de Margaux is first and foremost an inhabited house.
A place where people live, where they receive, where something happens — simply.
Here, time does not stop, it changes rhythm.
The days stretch out between the light of the vineyards and the ocean air, with no set schedule.
The house overlooks the Médoc vineyards, just minutes from the prestigious estates, and equidistant from the city and the ocean. An ideal location for exploring, or doing absolutely nothing.
Completely redesigned, the Bastide accommodates up to 12 guests in five spacious rooms.

The garden, the swimming pool, the shaded terraces become places to read, share a drink, or simply let time pass.
We live here, and that's probably the most important thing.

Confidential addresses, links to surrounding properties, discreet suggestions: we share what makes the place special, without ever imposing it.
In the morning, breakfast is served as a special moment.

Whether you come to discover the region, to reconnect with yourself, or simply to take a break, you are never really just passing through.
The rooms can be booked individually, or the entire house can be privatized for a few days with friends or family.

Our rooms
Suite Olympe
The Olympe suite is a spacious family room that can accommodate up to 4 people.
It opens directly onto the outside with access to the swimming pool, sun loungers and garden.
It is equipped with a Queen size double bed (160x200) on the ground floor and 2 single beds (90x200) on the mezzanine.
Access to the upper floor is via a Japanese-style staircase.
It has a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet, complemented by a lovely sitting area with views of the terrace and pool.
As with all our rooms, the Olympe suite is prepared with care, and bed linen and cotton towels are provided. We also offer Océopin brand bath products, locally made with maritime pine kernel oil.
Heating, Wi-Fi, hair dryer.
Suite Félicie
The Félicie suite is a spacious ground floor room with direct access to the terrace and swimming pool.
It is equipped with a Queen size double bed (160x200) and has a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet.
As with all our rooms, the Félicie suite is prepared with care, and bed linen and cotton towels are provided. We also offer Océopin brand bath products, locally made with maritime pine kernel oil.
Heating, Wi-Fi, shutters, hair dryer.
Chambre Victoria
The Victoria room is a spacious and comfortable room located on the first floor of the country house with a clear view of the garden.
It is equipped with a Queen size double bed (160x200).
It has a private bathroom on the landing with a walk-in shower, the toilet is also directly on the landing.
As with all of our rooms, the Victoria room is carefully prepared, bed linen and cotton towels are provided, the room is equipped with storage.
We also provide bath products from the Océopin brand that we would like to introduce, which are made locally using maritime pine grain oil.

We will pick you up at St Jean station!
We are fans of low-carbon soft mobility and can organize your transfers with the station or the airport to allow you to come by train or avoid renting a vehicle.
The Margaux bastide is located in the south of the Médoc, 2 km from Margaux train station, served from Bordeaux by the TER 42 line. It is also 15 minutes from the Blanquefort Tram C station, 20 minutes from Mérignac airport and approximately 45 minutes from Bordeaux St Jean train station, depending on traffic.
This option corresponds to the transfer for 2 people from St Jean de Bordeaux station to the bastide.
It includes your luggage as long as it is not too bulky (cabin luggage type).

Table d'hôtes - Contact us
Many of you have asked us to stay for dinner on site to extend your day by the pool and avoid getting back in the car. We have therefore developed a tailor-made dinner package around our fire pit or a gourmet platter that we prepare for you on site with fresh and local products. The table d'hôtes is possible for 4 people or more and we ask for a reservation 2 days in advance in order to organize ourselves. We are not great chefs but we do it with heart and care. When you book, we will provide you with the details of the menu, we adapt to any food intolerances.

We've chosen Christopher, whose inventiveness and meticulous attention to detail in the presentation of his dishes and the quality of his ingredients we greatly admire.

Make the most of your stay in La Bastide by exploring the surrounding area by bike! In partnership with a local rental company, we offer daily rentals of both traditional and electric bikes. To guarantee availability, please reserve your bike at least 2 to 3 days in advance.
